Tournament Format

The 30 teams were divided into six pools of five teams each. Pool play consisted of 15-point (must win by two points, no cap), two-game matches against each team in the pool. The top two teams from each pool advanced to the championship bracket. Ties were decided by the following formula (the team with the largest quotient will advancing):

        Points scored in pool play ÷ Points scored against in pool play.

The top four teams received a bye in the championship bracket. Matches in the championship bracket consisted of one game to 15 (must win by two points, no cap).
