| Batteries: SM: Everson & Coy. BHS: Sarver & Robbins. WP: Sarver (6-2): Runs 4, Hits 7, Strikeouts 10. LP: Everson: Runs 5, Hits 8, Strikeouts 1. Buena Notes: Tara Viavao went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs. Randi Prado also was 2 for 3. Blair Robbins had a home run. Ashley Sarver improved to 6-2 and had 10 strikeouts. SMHS Notes: Senior third baseman (five flawless defensive plays in the game) Tracy Oliver went 2 for 4; she had a double and a triple and two runs scored for the Royals. Senior Maggie Glenn went 2 for 3 with a triple and a RBI. Sophomore Megan Allain also had two hits and a RBI. Co-captain and senior Danielle Everson pitched a strong game only allowing 3 earned runs (Note: Buena's book reads that SMHS had 0 errors but SMHS's book reads that there were two errors: one in left field and one in center). Three other game elements are 1) Catcher Katie Coy had an RBI long sac. ball to left field in the 5th inning, 2)SMHS loaded the bases in the 7th to make for quite an intense threat, and 3)co-captain Emily Carlsen wasn't at her normal shortstop due to a rolled ankle in San Marcos' last game. Megan Allain filled in with a job well done. | ||||||||||
