| Buena Girl's Basketball Victorious in State 1st Round |

| Santa Barbara WebSmith Staff March 7, 2001 The Bulldogs demonstrated they were still number won with a 69-45 victory over Clovis West in a first round game of the State Tournament. Kelly Greathouse led Buena with 25 points. The performance gave her over 600 points for the season (616) and over 2,000 for her career. Courtney Young saw limited playing time after receiving a cut above her eyebrow, however, she still added 14 points to the winning effort. Courtney LeVere also scored 14 while Lauren Sargent contributed 12. Next up for the Bulldogs is a rematch with Narbonne on Thursday night. The game will be played at Narbonne at 7:30 pm. Buena defeated Narbonne in a home game on February 3rd by a score of 71-61. Good luck Bulldogs! |
