The pool has been officially named the Graham Pool in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Graham and her son, David. Through the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Graham, Ventura High School was able to replace the original, earthquake-damaged pool. The Grahams dedicated their time, energy and money to the aquatics programs at both high schools in honor of their son, David, who swam at Buena High School and was killed in the Vietnam War. Following the death of Mrs. Graham several years ago, Mr. Graham continues to support the programs at both schools.
