Aaron Solis Head Coach: San Marcos Girl's Golf September 17, 2000 The 2nd Annual San Marcos High School Girl's Golf Invitational will be held at La Purisima Golf Course located in Lompoc, CA on Sat. Sept. 23 beginning at 11:30am. This is fast becoming one of the most popular girl's golf events in CIF-SS. La Purisima Golf Course is considered to be one of the toughest golf courses in Calif., and has been host to LPGA events, U.S.Open qualifying, and P.G.A. Tour Card qualifying. Thirteen schools will be participating in this event, with some of the leading contenders for the CIF championship traveling north. These include Hart, Harvard-Westlake, Santa Margarita, Woodbridge, Villa Park, and Dos Pueblos to name a few. Other Channel League schools participating include San Marcos and Nordhoff. Teams will be sending four players. Each team will be divided up into 2-two person scramble teams, with both scores being combined for the team championship. there will also be awards for the lowest twosomes as well.
